 Geraldine and Lissette's Baptism
 Katies' Zone and San Christobal

 Katie looking out of Santiago

February 20, 2012

Hola.
Alright so I just sent a BUNCH of pictures and I hope that you really
enjoy them.
There are some pictures of Ronald´s baptism. He got baptised on Feb.
5. He had been investigating the church for about 5 months and finally
got baptized. What a great experience it is. He´s got a great
testimony and I can see him being a faithful member for the rest of
his life. He actually told us that the thing he doesn´t want to do is
be baptized and then go in-active I think for that reason he may have
taken a bit more time. But now he´s sure that this is the truth and
the life he wants to live.
There are some pictures of my zone and our hike to the hill San
Cristóbal. There were some pretty amazing views along the way and we
had a blast as a zone. I love being able to see more of Santiago and
enjoy being in another country. Santiago is a HUGH city and as you can
see in these photos there are so many buildings but one think I of
course love to see is the mountains all around. ¡QUE BONITO!
Last but not least there are photos of the Geraldine and Lissette´s
baptism. There sister that were baptized just yesterday. We´ve been
teaching their whole family but they´ve progressed a little bit faster
than the others. I really hope that one day soon the other members of
their family will also make the same decision to be baptized. They
really are such a great family.
I love you all so much!!
Thanks for all your support!

Yesterday for our Bishop gave a wonderful lesson during Sunday school. One of the things he mentioned was a new way the missionaries are using to study the scriptures so I asked her about it. Her is her reply.
Alright so that thing about marking the scriptures actually started before started my mission and I read about it on the blog before my mission and started doing it a little before my mission but now I have a book of mormon in spanish that is marked in that way. here are the 4 things
1. The names of christ, whatever name is used to describe him ex: lamb of god, holy one of israel, savior, redeemer & etc.
2. The words of Christ, each time the scriptures say and thus saith the lord
3. Christlike attributes from preach my gospel.
If there´s a fourth I don´t know about it. haha.
Right now my mission is reading the book of mormon the whole way through before Pres. and Sis. laycock finish their mission (before July 1) We each have a paper that has each date and the page that we should be on. Did you know that by reading just 3 pages a day you can finish the book of mormon in 6 months. :D
