Hola,
This week started off with a normal P-Day and then when we were
about to go to work our zone leader called us and told us that on Tuesday all of the missionaries in the mission would be spending from
7am-6pm cleaning their pensions (apartments). They told us that if we
needed anything to buy anything so that we could clean we had to do it Monday night. So we went back to the store and didn´t end up having
anytime to work in our sector Monday. Tuesday we spent from 7am-7pm
cleaning our pension, I spent the WHOLE day cleaning the kitchen, yeah
it was that dirty, also we did really deep cleaning. We had a little bit
of time to work at night. Wednesday, Hna. Verastegui and I went to the
offices for some medical issues for her and then we returned for zone
class. Wednesday I was feeling overloaded with responsibilities. I was
worried about our investigators and not being able to visit them so much
but even more than that I was really worried about Hna. Verastegui and
what I could do to help and support her. Thursday we had to travel again
and we went to another chapel in our mission to meet with Pres.
Laycock. Hna. Verastegui had an interview set up with him to talk about
her health issues. In the interview she decided that she would go home
to try and recuperate. Honestly I suggested it to President as well I
don´t think that she´d be able to get better walking as much as we do
each day. I thought that she would go home in a few days like maybe
today. However the office elders called us at 11:30pm Thursday and told
us that the assistants would be coming to pick her up Friday at 8:30am
and she would be going home on a flight that day. It was very quick and
we spent until 2:00am packing her things.
so...
Now I am in a trio with the other Hermanas. Hna. Castellón from
Nicaragua (again) and Hna. Mancía from El Salvador. We have changes in
two weeks and we´ll see what happens, but until then it´s just us three
working in our sector. I´m not going to lie it´s been really nice to get
out and work for the whole day. It´s really sad that Hna. Verastegui
had to leave because the mission really is so fantastic but I know that
this is what´s best for her. I killed my daughter.
This morning the three of us decided to go hiking in the mountains
in our sector and we were able to hike to the top of a hill where we
could see most of Santiago it was AWESOME!!!!
I love you all so much and I hope you are all doing well.
Hna. Howe
